Is this unique to just the 1st gens, or can it be used on the 2nd/3rd gens?

Universal cooler would work on anything that has a automatic transmission, everything would still mount up the same lines would all work Ect.

I think this is a heavy duty trans cooler to cause the other ones I've seen for sale are smaller and I wouldent see that cooling the fluid much, but who knows

the main thing that kills a tranny is hot fluid it'll destroy a tranny, now that's not to say these things run very hot normally (when going through botom of radiator) it's mostly for towing but in general your trucks transmission would be saved in the long run your truck is 100% fine without it but if you want to do anything with big loads and long hauls it's better to not think about it, and just install a tranny cooler or who knows maybe this will make that auto tranny last longer than your engine, I mean who dosent think there tranny is going to fall out before there engine blows hahah, I want to do a oil cooler as well, my theory in motors is when things run cooler in the tranny and engine they last a lot longer and perform better, no?

Yeah, Makes sense. whats the solve for the MT lol? the r150 seems pretty solid, but i haven't towed anything yet so i wouldn't know how it behaves other than a loaded bed up a windy mt. road.

There's a thread or a link somewhere that explains why a manual transmission dosent need to worry about that, I just know it's better to spend 45$ and put it in and never worry about the tranny, it's a Toyota either way, but why not make it batter?

No idea what GVW would be unless it's printed on box

That might be what I'm looking for. A transmission cooler was on my list when I was helping a friend move, especially for the truck being supercharged. Could you send me pictures of the specs on the box, if there are any.
