Yeah tough call. But i have re-geared to 4:88's and if I did go with the 2.3 it would be light years better than the stock 4:10's with the stock 4lo.

 

Incline + crawl box + skinny pedal = broken parts haha

Dang talk about a bad day off road.

 

Haha you're telling me! It was my first off road trip with these guys. 4 hour trail ride turned into an 8 hour day doing repairs on the trail. Oh and almost dragging a 4Runner down a hill because the winch wouldn't shut off.....

 

Going with a 4.7 crawlbox would definitely be cause for looking at swapping in a gear driven t-case. Like has been mentioned that would be pretty sketchy with a chain drive. I'd always be worried that the thing would come apart on me at the worst possible time.

 

I think 2.3 will be more than sufficient. .

25 buckos. ... look in the 1st gen parts for sale section. Not sure if fits 2nd gen. It mounts under aftermarket stereo. . You will see in post what I mean..

Kind of. I have been working 6days a week. So have not had any time to work on the truck. I still need to run power for my OBA system and install my switch panel. Then connect my switches. Oh I also need to rework my rear shock mounts to fit the 7100's ...

Fabbed up a new CB antena mount.much better than the crappy one i had before.

Finished the OBA system and started fabbing the mid skid belly pan. Will get some pics up shortly..

 

Finshed building the belly skid. I think it came out nice and beefy as hell. Jacked the truck up off the ground with it. All 3/16" plate and 1"X 2" tube.
