HC bumper damaged while driving on hwy

    Sorry that’s what I meant. Yours didn’t have the tubes, that might have saved the bumper a bit.

    If you are having that bumper fixed or getting a new one, make sure it has the tube supports. Seems like they add good strength to the bumper

    I see what your saying but... Considering those rear HC bumpers are built to be landed on when you wheel... you don’t really want them to crumple. Plus my assumption would be that the mounting of the bumper to the frame
    probably reenforces it some, plus the steel bumper spans the two frame rails and makes them sturdier that way.

    I suppose there a balance to be had. Highways safety and trail armor. I’m not into replacing body panels when I wheel hard.

    Muddinfun: I’m not seeing any buckle or dented area but will have to inspect more. Do you have any recommendations for upgraded UCA’s and LCA’s. I won’t be doing any serious rock climbing up in the Midwest but would like something that won’t break the bank but would accommodate my 5100’s and current set up.
