ok so as the title states im having trouble deciding which to pursue... both WILL happen eventually just one before the other.

at this point im leaning towards the HC bumper with swing arm mostly because i have a front bumper on order from relentless. i wheel a good bit but with the front bumper i am putting a winch on it immediately; nothing too crazy though and with the winch i think i would be alright in most situations...

i think that if i go with the locker set up right now it might give me a little more confidence then what my truck is capable for...

what would you guys do? i know the e locker is an option (if i can find one) but with that goes with the wiring and computer....

i voted bumper because i though you had an elocker already. But since you dont i would take the locker to open up where you can do with out having to winch your way up. Just dont hit anything :p

I went with the locker. You can do more with it. Your rear bumper is rarely in danger if you have the tow package hitch receiver back there. Took me just over a year to wreck my rear bumper and I went to Moab this summer and everything. And even though I wrecked it, no harm done to anything but the bumper which you plan to replace anyway. So no big deal so long as you can handle driving around with a bent bumper until you can afford the HC bumper and that only applies if you actually get it.

yeah i see the benefit of either, i just dont want to have a rock or something carry through and ripple the side of the bed before it even hits the bumper.. but it would be nice to have that confidence.

I would actually vote for the HC bumper because if you are getting a winch you will be able to got out of some nasty situations with it. The while time consuming to use sometimes it can get put to use right away. If you get the locker you might not end up using the winch for a bit. If you didn't have a winch I'd go with the locker first.
