Hi I just installed a Kenwood DMX809 Head unit that has HD radio problem i seem to have is picking up stations when it scan it skip over stations that my other vehicle receives. has any one have this problem when changing head units. did you have to change your stock fender mount antenna or did you have to add a antenna signal booster.

Any help and comments would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes HD stations in certain areas don’t come through . Try shutting the HD part off ( I don’t know your Kenwood unit or if you can ) then in regular stereo see if they come in easier

You need a strong signal to get HD radio. Truck Guy is correct, turn HD off.

Also, make sure your antenna connection is fully seated.
