Yeah I made a request to send out my hangers a couple weeks ago and you went ahead and sent them. If you were going to wait to ship out the shackles with the cross bar I'd appreciate it if you sent the shackles by themselves and the cross bar later and just bill me the extra shipping.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
Well I took my truck down to moan to test out the new shackles and hangers and have to say they are beef. But I did find an issue with the shackles I think. When I am at ride height my shackles sit just like @NYCO did. It is not the leaf pack that is causing the problem. I just put the packs on three weeks ago and the were built at the end of February by Alcan. Now here are a few pics of what I found.

    20180401_145351.jpg
Full flex that shows were it rubs

    20180401_145417.jpg
Those next two pics show the leaves doing a couple of things. You can see the leaves starting to go a little negative because the shackle can't go down any more.

    20180331_143017.jpg
Here is a close up of the rub make from the hanger and shackle contact point.

Here is a pic at ride height.

The fear that I have with leaving these as is, is that either the shackle or hanger will implode with pressure or the main leaf will snap in half from the extra strain. My plan right now is to put the stock shackles back on before my ten day wheeling trip in the beginning of May. So I hope this info can help everybody and @JLee to possible come up with a different design.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Yes I would swap out to the stock shackles I'll see if I can get the shackles a little tighter to work with all leaves. It might just be putting a notch in the back of the shackle to give it the clearance. I'll be taking a look at that tomorrow.

Post a pic of it flexed out with the stock shackle.

so are these the same as hammer hangers just designed by you?

Also can I order just the greasable shackles or are those reserved just for this? I see the HD shackles on the site but wold rather have the greasable

How will this work out for those that have the original shackles that you made?

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

It's going to be a case by case basis we might have to have two different shackles to work with all leaf packs.

i should have some time sunday, i'm going to cut a little relief where the shackle rests and see if that helps. shouldn't take much and shouldn't weaken the hanger much

I would cycle it and see it could be all Alcan packs. I'm working on a new shackle to help clear the Alcan packs as we speak!
