Yep, it even snowed in July about 4-5yrs ago. Killed off the entire mosquito population which made it pretty nice!

    Now that's real witchcraft!

Denver even got some snow earlier this week :headbang:
I personally love it but makes for nasty situations in the mountains early spring though. I'm itching to get up to the hills myself but I know it is a little to early for what my truck is capable of on the trails I run. Glad OP's son is safe, with no damage or cost. Early spring runs can get sketchy! Lessons learned

He was around 8,000+ elevation. This wasn't a freak storm, Mammoth will still get a bit of snow before the summer heat comes.

Mammoth mtn just got 2 ft of fresh snow and current snow depths of 38' at the lodge and 60' depth at higher elevations

That’s Laurel Lakes trail on your signature. Did it a few time in my Wrangler. Love that trail.

chair 21/22 aint no where close to eachother. I could see around the chair 21 / 10 / 2 area this occurring...they have the cat storage area and snow trails right there.... but seriously what was he thinking driving on that?

My mistake: Pops said chairs 20 and 21. There is a short spur near the base of chair 20, perhaps this was the scene of the crime.

Not sure what the driver's experience level is. I'm thinking he knows a bit more after his episode.

that would make more sense. 20 never really spins but yeah 20/21 are closeish and there are some snow cat service roads there.

Haha yeah sounds like he knows a bit more now.... snow driving, get a snowmobile.
