here are a few pics of my buddies '00. he was heading to work the other morning and there was a deer standing in his lane so he swerved to go around it and when he did two others came up over the bank. so a quick yank back to the right then left then right then Disaster Ensued......

Always hit the deer. My wife is an animal lover and my biggest fear is she will be killed in an accident trying to miss a deer in the road. Glad your boy is alright

i also forgot to mention that he brought that truck back from the grave back in december of 2000. he bought it at a salvage auction for like 4500 bucks and it had 5k on it. it suffered the same fate only it hit lower and tweeked the frame and busted the radiator but didn't blow the bags. so 165k later this happened to him.

Glad your buddy is ok. Sorry 'bout his truck though.

I am an animal lover and always said I would avoid the animal at all costs. But after working with safety for while and seeing what had happened to people due to them avoiding animals, it's gonna be hang on and slow down as much as possible. Sorry, but my life and my families lives are worth more than a deer or other animal. Not to mention, the animal is the lessor of the evils - the deer or a tree. One moves and the other doesn't.

Completely agree. I've been driving for 34 years and never as far as I know hit a critter (knock wood). But if it came down to it, the choice is clear.
