Hello everyone, I first started hearing a water sloshing noise behind the dash, and it has only gotten worse. I tried burping the system but it was just continuous bubbles.

Pressure tested radiator. Block tested. Both came back good, we then pressure tested the radiator cap, that was bad, I got a new cap and the water noise behind the dash on start up and accelerating is there and almost worse.

Yesterday, I checked my coolant reservoir and I had oil in it. But no oil in the radiator and no overheating. I checked the oil cap and it kind of had a yellowish color just on the cap.

I cleaned out the reservoir and cleaned the cap and yellow color and oil in reservoir hasn't came back.

    Is this a head gasket?

I just got my head gasket replaced about a month ago. Was having similar issues, passed pressure tests, sloshing noise, air in coolant. I had a shop pressurize it overnight and they put a camera in the spark plug holes in the morning, cylinder 4 had a ton of coolant in it. Thankfully caught it before she gave way. I would recommend pressurizing and peeking in the cylinders after a while, that’ll give you your answer.

A few ways to "prove" a bad headgasket..

    - fails a chemical block test

    - pressurize cooling system and look for coolant dribbling into cylinders (mentioned above^^)

    - oil and coolant mixing.. but keep in mind vehicles with a cracked oil cooler can do this too

Could be the AC condensate drain line clogged up and water in the evap case

Don't recall any noise like that (or what my brain interprets you saying) related to a head gasket

Need to do a propoer leakdown test to find the issue. coolant sys press checks and compression tests showed nothing.

killed mine twice in 75k. ends up leaking between the cyl and the coolant cooling tube between the cylinders. replace with cometic and your good to go
