Head Unit Issues, please help

hey guys I just got an Alpine CDA-105 and I am having some issues. I put in a CD and it stays in for about 5 seconds and it spits it back out and never plays anything at all. The screen says load and then eject and thats it. It was brand new when I got it. Anyone know whats up

 

It could have a bad laser and not reading the disc correctly which will cause it to eject.

 

really its brand new though. if so that sucks!!!!

 

Here is a stupid question but is the CD in right side up? I'd hate to see you pull it for something like this. I doubt that's the cause but I've got to ask. And I suspect you have tried actual original manufactured CDs, not just something you burned?
