head unit not fitting in scosche dash kit

    So I just purchased a alpine ixa-w404 double din head unit and gt the scosche double din dash kit ... the instructions on the dash kit are meaningless so im trying to dry fit my head unit and its not fitting its about a 1/8 inch to wide ... anybody use this head unit and how did you get it to fit I need help for I really like this head unit

    Bump I need help please for some reason I can't get it to fit if I take the trim off around the headunit it'll fit but has 1/16th inch gap all around ... please help

    Wish I could help man but I put in a single din w/Metra kit. But... have you tried to search "ixa-w404"? Don't include "Alpine" because you'll get a bunch of threads that have Alpine in it. I searched just "ixa-w404" and it came up with a few threads that maybe you can PM members that have the 404 like you and see what they did. Good luck!

    found out how to do it, the scosche comes with a piece of trim so what i need to do is take the exsisting trim off the alpine, slip it through the scosche and attach the scosche trim to the alpine and it fits snug as a glove haha
