    Hello
I just found this site and I’ve been have this issue with my 2018 Tacoma TRD off-road. When my phone is connected to Bluetooth it resets my screen as long as the car is on. I’ve taken it to the dealer and they said that it’s my phone. Does anyone know what I should do next?
And I’ve only had my Taco for a year

Check updates on both head unit and phone? I’ve seen if you hold the power button on the head unit it will reset, I’ve never had to do it though.

I have done both. My iPhone XS Max is running on the latest software and so is the entune system. And it stops doing it for a few days and then our of nowhere as I’m driving it starts to reset all over. And it will reset for as long as the car is on

Interesting. I’m sure some help will come from someone soon. I haven’t had any issues over 3 1/2 years so beats me.
I wish you the best and I’ll keep an eye out for issues, there has been a few threads on here

I have a 2018 OR and the same iPhone, now running iOS 13.1.2. Zero issues, and I've had zero issues on all the previous versions of iOS I've run on the phone.

Is your phone connected to the head unit USB and BT at the same time? If so, try connecting only to BT. For charging, use the power outlet, so the USB power is not coming from the HU.

I've had this happen a lot. I ended up removing the phone from the headunit (unpairing) then re-pairing. seemed to work. happens more often when I try to use the siri when it's connected to BT (using the BT mic)

This happens to my fiancé’s 2018 4Runner. Happens maybe once every few months only. Irritating but I figured Toyota would say the same thing they told you so we didn’t bother to take it in. Hope you get it figured out!

Sorry to kick a 5 year old thread back into service, but this was the most promising search result.

I also have an '18 OR and an iPhone 10s and have just started experiencing the head unit resetting/restarting while driving. I can't replicate the situation to save my life as it appears to be random. The unit has restarted when using Siri, using voice control, playing via BT, just using the radio, and even during a call, but this only just started happening in the last 5-6 months.

Did any of y'all find a solution? I haven't made any electrical changes in the truck (yet), but I wonder if it isn't electrical in nature (battery or alternator) rather than a BT or Phone update.

Usually best start is to delete your phone from the unit, and repair.

I'll try that again, but that was my first attempt at a fix when it initially happened at the beginning of the year.
