Head unit upgrade suggestions

Hey everyone. I’m new to this group.I am from KY and I have a 22 Tacoma and a 07 4Runner. I am not very pleased with my factory stereo in the taco. My 07 4Runner has a way better stereo. I have replaced the door speakers with Polk 6x9 in front and 6.5 in the back. No amp or anything. I don’t want the mirrors and windows to rattle or anything but I do want something that has a little kick to it. Obviously the speaker swap did not do what I was hoping for. Im just not sure what all would change if I swapped out the head unit. Does it affect warranty? Does it mess with back up camera? I have a factory lift (not sure if that matters) and it’s a TRD Sport. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I'm looking at upgrading mine as well, 2018 TRD OR. After last weeks hunting trip I am having blue tooth connectivity issues.

 

First welcome to TW!! I recently watched a video https://youtu.be/AnqKXO4A9io by Chloe Kuo pretty sure she’s on TW, anyway she has a ton of videos on install and reviews! Granted it’s only on the stinger 10” touch screen unit but that’s where i’d start although some people are bias (and not only on YouTube) i like reading reviews and even the q&a’s when shopping for a big ticket item like a replacement head unit, just typing in 3rd gen taco head unit upgrade and reviews is a good start check reviews on crutchfield is a good place to start hope this helps and goodluck
