I'm still enjoying my Pioneer Unit a year and half later, produces quality sound and apple carplay works flawlessly. There's even a page for truck vitals if you incorporate the Maestro OBD connection. I get plenty of compliments on it and many think its stock because of how well it fits in the bezel.
Didn't have to splice any wires, all plug n play.

I paid the extra coin to get mine through Amazon, just in case. ($499.00) IIRC
As luck would have it, my forethought paid off, as my first one was a disaster. Among other things, moments after booting up it would fire up Google and start running random searches of gibberish.
After doing my due diligence and coming to the conclusion it was fucked, I gave Amazon a shout and let them know I'd like to give it one more shot with a new one, as long as there would be no pushback, should the second one perform similarly.

Amazon said no problem, shipped my a new one and it's been straight ever since.

I got myself a Pioneer Headunit. Sits flush and looks practically OEM. Paired with the Maestro RR, the only feature I lost was the fuel economy MPG graph from the Entune headunit. Every other OEM setting was retained and is adjustable with the Pioneer.

Also my Entune is a non-navigation model. With the Pioneer, I actually gained the navi category in the center dash screen, it doesn't function though.

My friend on the other hand got the Stinger Heigh10 Kit. I personally am not a fan.

What model number is that unit? Did you have to get the maestro unit separate?

This is the Pioneer WC6600NEX. The Maestro RR is separate, I just got mine together when I purchased it.

If you go to Crutchfield, select your truck and the headunit and it should bring up all the additional parts that are needed.

Check out Chloe Kuo Taco's youtube channel. She just posted a great video about a week or so ago, regarding the new Stinger 10" display and she installed it in her 2019 Tacoma. She did a good job of showing the installation, as well as the pros and cons.

I really want to have android auto in mine but hard to justify the cost of some of these. Especially since I don't do that much driving as it is.

Joying units are dirt cheap. I paid less than 400.
OEM Look for TRD and SR5 trims.Have a wireless carplay. All steering wheel buttons work. Just need a few adapters to hook up oem GPS antenna.
    No issues with quality

Still haven't found a headunit that truly lets you keep EVERYTHING. Always seems to be a sacrifice or cobbling something together for an external mic or xm antenna, etc...

That SR5 unit of yours is calling for upgrades. Peep holes are bigger than that screen.....

Lol if I could find one that kept everything and had a bigger screen that worked with the SR5 bezel I'd have swapped already. Losing XM isn't an option though.

Joying 9" fits SR5 bezel perfectly. I get my Hair Nation on Spotify for far less...

The OEM mic is kind of funky, like you can't simply get an audio signal from it. It needs to communicate with the Entune headunit, that tells it to turn on to work.

There is a harness that spoofs the signal from an Entune headunit to make the OEM mic work with aftermarket headunits, but it isn't even 100% guaranteed to work.
