I use my phone to stream SiriusXM through their app. NO need to buy a separate module to connect to headunit.

Yes I know there are some places where 4g/5g coverage, or lack thereof, will dictate if it's even possible to stream through the phone, but it's a cheap way of listening to sat radio in 85-90% of places in the continental US. Plus I'm always on the lookout for their $1 for 90 days promo. Already used it for almost a year now but I'm running out of burner emails and different credit cards lol...

Did you need to do anything special to get this to fit so well into the space? I was under the impression this was a floating screen.

@Dupe101 I didnt add anything to the brackets that were supplied and existed. I believe i did grind off a nub on the bracket to get a better fit. There is a white plastic wire raceway in the rear of the unit that the supplied USB C cord was getting torqued against. I removed the raceway. If you use a right angle usbc then you wouldnt need to remove raceway. Did take about 6 installs and removals to get the shown fit before i got irritated baking in the sun.

I have a 2017 Taco and i just ordered a Sony XAV-AX7000 HU to replace the stock non JNL unit i have currently. It comes prewired for the Tacoma you order it for from these guys so i don't have to fiddle with wiring harnesses or anything ( which is great because i hate wiring) . It's Plug and play and your steering wheel controls are still usable as well. Im keeping the stock speakers and I'll see what difference this makes. This system comes with a 4 x 100w amp built in and you can run a subwoofer directly off the radio with the need for a separate amplifier. I also ordered there OEM mic adapter so i can keep the OEM mic location when i do the install. I have to use the Sony Mic but it comes with an adapter to install the Sony Mic in the OEM location.

While that doesn't look nearly as nice as my Kenwood, I think that that is a great option. I, too, may have jumped on it, just to avoid the wiring. The wiring/install was not as bad as I expected, but I have not done a radio install since my high school days. LOL

The Trail Grid Pro that ExGunner mentions is a really clean install and the Sony mic adapter really makes the install equal to factory.

The 1500 price tag is a bit outrageous for the stinger as well

For you guys that have the larger floating display Alpine ILX-F511 do you notice any vibration issues? I go down a washboard dirt road pretty much daily and wouldnt want it bouncing all over.
