    Quick thread jack

Why is it called a headache rack and what is it's purpose?

I assume because it rattles and gives you a headache? lol

I gotcha, build ya one :D
I just mounted my hi-lift to the toolbox and will mount the shovels to the inside of the toolbox lid.

and i still think with the design i drew up you could fit an atv in the bed you just wouldnt have lights up above the cab... I'd rather have the lights in the front of the truck somewhere but thats just me cause i wouldnt feel like running all that wire up to the top of the cab

Also curious for the answer to this question.

IIRC its supposed to keep things in the bed from flying forward through the windshield, thus giving you a headache. thats what i was told

Dude not to be THAT GUY. But a headache rack is only cool on full size and SOME mid size trucks.

Loggers use them to keep logs from coming threw the back window. But they are still cool on Rams

Headache racks serve a purpose , allowing you to carry long lumber and ladders as well as keeping firewood out of your cab when you haul it

Who cares about looks and what real logger puts wood in the bed of a measly full size pick up truck? All the loggers I know cut down trees not bushes.
