Why not use the bed bolts to mount your system ?

I'd do something like this, maybe in the style of the guys who have deleted their leaf springs and make a 4 point rack in their bed for a lt setup.

That's how we always do it, use a truck to hoist it into a tree then either tie it off or use a second truck and back underneath it and lower it into the bed

My thoughts exactly. I doubt even an all steel bed would hold up to that for too long. That's a lot of leverage.

    Not enough.
This might help, bolted down to the bed which I THINK also goes straight to the frame in those areas.

Maybe you can just get one without the top basket.

Take into account how much bed space you will lose as well...

It's not the rack , it's how it's mounted to the truck

All I'm saying is that you have a Tacoma with a composite bed .

If you want to winch from a headache rack on your Tacoma , it better be attached to the frame somehow , and have some kind of bracing to prevent the rack from being bent off the truck .

You need something custom , that's pretty much all there is to it .

I dont know bout what you guys have out there, but the Conservation officers here have a winch mounted in the floor of their pickups and a square tube V with a roller attached near the back of the bed that they just flip out when they need to load an animal. Its pretty amazing cuz these guys can load bears and deer single handedly into the truck beds... ill see if i can find any pics
