Buy the upper rack add the expanded metal would be the easiest .

Have one Custom built to just what you want should not be much more then buying the two pieces .

Texas should lots of people willing to quote the job I think they all went home.

haha, we all sound stupid, so don't worry about that, lol...

You can try searching the regional forums for "fabrication shops" or something like that, or google it, too.

I'm sure there are several around, but you don't even really need a 4x4/truck specialist, either. Just someone with a welder and a saw, lol.

Then make a few calls, and even visit the shop(s). Talk to them and make sure that they understand exactly what you want and need. It sounds like you have a specific need, but those 2 pics you posts could be combined in about 100 different ways.

You could go full custom, or you could start with something like a contractors rack and modify it.

Might help us if you describe exactly what your after, and what you're planning to use it for.

.I first would figure out just what your going to use this for.

Just what kind of weight you are thinking of hauling so it can be built according .

Having an idea and a drawing makes it so much easier to shop

You have no friends that can fabricate or you just relocated to this area and have not met many yet.

Like it was said check out the local forums to your area and go from there.
