A buddy of mine has a 2010 double cab prerunner with the 4.0, I have the 2012 double cab prerunner with the 4.0. He has a nice exhaust set up and is wanting to sell his truck, I want his exhaust. My question is will the 2010 configuration be the same as the 2012? I'm taking the headers on down to where it bolts up in front of the muffler.

The 2012+ headers are slightly different than the 05-11 ones. Also, the exhaust itself has slightly different hanger locations if I remember correctly. You could get the Y pipe back and retro it to your rig, but the headers are unfortunately a no go.
