looks like my gaskets are on the way out, been hearing the gurgle off and on for past year or so, now I can smell coolant on first start up. no over heating or coolant loss. I've had the truck almost 2yrs and put about 35,000kms on it.
I'm planning on using parts from rock auto, how are ITM parts (part number 05395500) for timing chain stuff??
Head gasket FEL-PROHS26330PT or VICTOR REINZ021078101 is either better?
    head bolts APEX AHB871
I have not priced parts at Toyota yet,
also I was thinking only of replacing timing chain stuff as a precaution, are they known to wear out around certain mileage? (like the old 22re was known to do?) or maybe they are fine??

anyone have any bad or good opinions based on parts listed on use?

I would use only toyota parts for timing chains/guides/tensioners. Ive read horror stories about aftermarket part failures and having to pull everything back apart to replace. Definitely not something you want to go through

Do the timing chain and use all OEM parts.

Guaranteed at that mileage those timing chains have stretched to some degree, and it'd be silly not to replace them while you're in there and have it all tore down. Look at your knock sensors/harness too - it's a bitch to access and if the critters have even thought about nibbling on them, do it while you're in there.

Aisin is the OE supplier to Toyota for the timing chains, gears, tensioners, guides, water pumps, fan clutches, etc. If you can't buy it from Aisin, buy it from Toyota. They lasted 330k KM, and you want it to go another 330k at least, right?

For the gaskets, personally I splurged and bought the gasket kit from Toyota. Fel-Pro and Victor Reinz are the same gaskets usually, just in different packaging. Make sure you get the updated head gaskets, the old ones can still be bought! If you can't tell the difference by description alone, look up the head gasket kit for a 2007 or newer 1GR-FE and compare part numbers to a 03-05 1GR-FE.

I've never used Apex brand hardware, but do replace the head bolts. IIRC, I used Mahle brand (but been using Mahle and Elring for decades now on Euro vehicles as they're both OE suppliers to the Swedish and Germans). It's a torque-to-yield bolt, so any quality/reputable brand should be just fine.

called local dealership, normally 125(Canadian) my cost is 85$ each, waiting on email quote for the head bolts/timing components.... then its trying to find time to do it ( I own a small automotive shop) so to make a living, customers cars come first. Mechanics cars are usually last to get fixed.
