Hell Hole's definitely rougher than Slick Rock. No question about that.

Why couldn't u make it in your 2nd gen?

I think I'll swap my old pre-dented bumper on and give it a shot.

I had a 2007 with only a rear bumper and sliders - No front, no skids whatsoever, no locker, and my 4wd Low wouldn't engage. The 4wd Low was the last straw otherwise I mightve gone for it

Not having a locker and on smaller tires is going to be tough. I drove the white FJC in the pictures. I had skids, locker in rear, a-trac up front, sliders, front bumper and a lift. Going downhill you may be ok but coming back out will tough. Still maybe doable but no idea of trail conditions. I have heard that it has gotten worse.

That spot, there really is only one line. At least at the time. Maybe a little more to the right or left but not much room.

He could always stack rocks all day to get his rig in. But that can be a lot of work.

Most of the spots aren't too bad but yeah that spot in the pictures is rough. Theres not too many lines to take. Can always shuffle gear and ride along if someone decides its too rough.

I have watched a dozen videos on that spot. I wouldn't do it without a rear bumpers, sliders, and armor unless you don't care about body damage.

Wise choice. Don't bang up a new truck.

Heck, my truck isn't new anymore, and I *still* don't want to bang it up.

Awlrighty - Bullwinkle J Moose is loaded up with recovery gear, camping gear, and warm clothing and I'm heading out. I'm meeting my folks and my nephew (who's out visiting) today in Auburn and staying with them tonight. See you guys tomorrow at the meeting spot.

3-5 rigs is my preference IMHO for harder trails like HellHole.

If you want to come out to Pismo beach, this weekend is Turf-N-Surf. I'm leaving early Saturday morning.

I havn't heard anything from him since he originally posted so I don't think so. Think it's just the 3 trucks and some passengers. Small group this round
