    Hey Everyone!

any advice or must drive on trails for Big Bear? heading up with some friends to big bear, first time going there not for mountain biking or snow related sports. any specific trails that is a must do? we're all pretty much bone stock. 1 jeep wrangler, 1 gen 1 tacoma 4x4, 1 4runner 4x4, 1 f150 4x4, and my tacoma 4x4. we're going to do that golden fever trail cause i saw it mentioned here before and going to pick some random ones found on dirtopia. but if someone has any specific recommendations that are must go/must drive on that isn't too difficult (we're all pretty new into the game of offroading). i'd appreciate it!

and yes, we have shovels/recovery straps/snatch straps/hi-lift jacks/shackles/tools. no winch though.. but i don't think we'll be needing it?

Jacoby Canyon is a cool trail for stock rigs. I'm not 100% about how narrow it get's for a full size rig. Only risking pinstripes though.

I haven't done White Mountain trail, but I know others that have and they said it was a great trail for stock rigs.

Jacoby Canyon is doable with stock vehicles. I would not take a full size truck up white mountain.

I just did Gold Mountain in Big Bear last weekend, it was a lot of fun but pretty gnarly. A lot of rock climbing, driving over "rock gardens" (shale rocks everywhere) and rocky "steps" (climbing steep rocks where it really helps to have a locked rear end). Definitely need a couple inches of lift, sliders and preferably skid plates underneath. But a really fun trail, no doubt.

Going up this weekend! We got a cabin right on the lake. Hit the trails then fish the lake!

Though i hear the lake is so sad that we might have to walk in the lake to cast.

And thanks for all the advice on which trails to hit up!

was just at the lake last month! The lake is mostly dried up. Not even a lot of fish. We ended up enjoying the town that day instead.

You'll love it. It'll probably start getting cold pretty soon if you don't go soon. We camped and stayed in a cabin. Lot of good campgrounds and we just found a cabin through Airbnb. We had a great time

    Jacoby is awesome!!

Only one spot was a little sketchy only cause the path was so narrow. never knew how fat the 4 runner was until now. Lol

Just got back from there last weekend, lots of fun trails! The only ones we needed 4x4 were john bull and gold mountain. Lots of good trails with good scenery, did some camping on the trails at the yellow post camp sites
