I have a 2008 Tacoma. I swear I replace headlamp bulbs twice a year. It is both sides. Plus, they are a pia to change. Cheesey mechanism and all. Does anyone else have this problem?

This ^^. 99% of short life bulbs are due to oil contamination from people touching the glass bulb and leaving skin oils. If you do touch it accidentally; clean the bulb with Isopropyl alcohol before installing it. The oil causes hot spots that burn out the bulb early.

Or wear some clean rubber gloves.

I am extremely cautious about not touching the bulb. I wear latex glove too. Most of my other vehicles have needed new bulbs so infrequently that I have to almost go through a tutorial because I can't remember how to install them.
