Does anyone know if the "headlamp on sensitivity" setting should be turned up or down to be less sensitive to daylight?

I want my headlights to automatically stay on longer when it's lighter out but don't know if that means more or less sensitivity?

The manual is ambiguous as it calls this setting "automatic light off system" and in the menu it's "on sensitivity"? Is this some kind of double negative quagmire?

    Obligatory "giggity"

I was wondering the same. Since the manual is so clear about these things I assumed up makes it more sensitive. So I figured that would make them turn and off more often.

So I would say turn yours down if you don't want to have them to turn off and on as much when there is a slight change in outside conditions.

Please play with it and let us know what you find. I'm playing around with it as well. I've noticed when I go into tunnels the lights don't come on for up to 15 seconds, leaving me without a lighted instrument panel. Ideally would love it to pick up these changes faster.

I'm going to adjust this as well...I assume that if the sensitivety is more, then it's more sensitive...ie...5 means lights on sooner....

    I'll find out

If you turn the sensitivity "up" it is MORE sensitive.... I set mine on "5" and they comes on well before it's very dark out...

I noticed with mine all the way up that sometimes the lights would be on in the middle of a bright sunny day, so I've turned them down one notch.

I've found turning up the sensitivity causes the lights to come on sooner or during the day.

On my '17 around low light times the kites come on and off too frequently to the point some one thought I was warning of police. Going into shade turned them on. I guess mine are way too sensitive

I gave up trying to get mine where I wanted them. Sometimes it's completely dark and they won't come on, sometimes it's sunny out and they stay on...

Funny, I was playing around with this setting today. The default middle setting (3) for my taste came on too late (i.e. when it was darker than I would have liked). Also in the rain with heavy overcast (so grey outside but middle of the day) at 3 it would not come on. I bumped it up to 5 today and it very nicely came on in the rain with grey overcast.

I just need to see what happens on a normal clear day now to see how early the lights come on towards dusk.
