I searched but maybe since I don't know the correct terminology I didn't find an answer

Long story short, I bought some replacement headlight assemblies from Amerilite
After installing I started adjusting the aim and they developed a lot of "slop". Like 1/8" on passenger and about 3/16" on driver side.
Of course I have been buying stuff for the front end for months and the headlights are out of the warranty period. AmeriLite offered to send me a replacement for the driver side one for $15 (prepaid label to return defective one) but nothing on the passenger side one.
So I am pretty sure it has something to do with the adjusting screw used to aim the headlight. However I can not figure out just how to get the thing apart. The "housing" as I see it bolts to the truck and the "reflector" assembly is what moves inside of the housing.
Anybody that can point me in the direction of getting the adjustment screw/bolt seperated from the 2 pieces so I can try and eliminate the slop?

Until I get all that straightened out I don't want to put the new grill in and then have to take it back out

Thanks in advance for any help

I am guessing nobody has torn into one of these

If I figure it out I will post back here

I got the certified TYC housing assembles from RA- had no issues adjusting them (other than finding a convenient location to do that). Not sure how the quality compares between amerilite and TYC.

Looked at the amerilite product, and it's the same style as the TYC. The adjustment looks like it should be the same:

Up and down are adjusted on the stud with the arrow. Left and right should be adjusted by another stud somewhere within the circled area.

You have to get creative if you're using those aftermarket light assemblies. I wound up shimming mine to get the correct aim. I'm about to replace mine with new ones. Might o back to factory replacements.

Just to clarify, I am trying to get the adjustment bolt out or at least do something to take the slop out

TYC was cheaper, my thinking was spend more money and get better quality but either I got a bad one or they just have play in them.
Replacement shipping out in the morning.
I have the ones that were on it before (probably original) that I may use to try and determine how everything fits together since they appear to be made similar
