Been having issues with both headlights fogging up in my 06 Tacoma and am tired of trying to fix the problem. Just wondering what the best quality brand option is for me as everything I search for and read the reviews most of which dog up right out of the box. Thanks

OEM, honestly. It’s understandable that you may be experiencing that issue if you still have the 14 year old originals

Hate to tell you, but OEM is your best bet. New are definitely expensive, but you can also keep your eye out for used versions at your favorite sales sites. I've tried aftermarket myself, but have come back to the OEM world.

TYC is sold on rock auto and is not very expensive. That brand produces the OEM lights for many manufacturers.

    DEPO......

Can get both lights for less than $150. OEM fit and adjustability.
Have had zero leaks,no fading in 4 years that I’ve had them. The bulbs that came with them haven’t even burned out yet.

By fogging do you mean like water vapor inside the headlight unit itself or that gross yellowing that occurs on the outside of the light. If its the issue with the outside of the light, try applying some automatic transmission fluid to a paper towel/shop rag, then wiping that on the outside of the light. It's a trick I used to do while working in an auto shop a few years back. Cleans it right up! Plus ATF is really cheap, so if the fogging ever comes back you can just use it again.

No it’s moisture inside. Started with one a year ago and the other started a month ago. The lights are only just over two years old and I’m pretty sure they’re oem. I bought the truck off of someone two years ago so not entirely sure

Go aftermarket. Diode dynamics make street legal dot approved lights and pretty reasonable you can get a kit for as low as $190 comes with everything you need i went with amber but they do sell white E92F5771-2038-4D2B-99B9-45782C33948E.jpg

Bottom line OEM for no leaks as all the 85-125 sets from Depo and others will fog up within a few years especially if in heavy rain areas (like FL). Sealing them delays it but does not solve it as the vents may be an access point for moisture too. I even used silicon pool lube on the smaller bulb sockets (not the main bulbs) and no help. My OEM originals had the DRL area burn thru and no dealer program then and I missed the free ones later as Toyota never really told me yea yea. So you can buy cheap ones and blow them dry when they get moisture in them (really need to pull out to do effectively) and/or drill a drain in the bottom that does help. I wanted the black insides so on the second set of Depos got the warranty for about 10 and it covers replacement. As long as you don't mind pulling them out every few years. Mine get trashed by flying debris anyway. Up to you cost vs pull out frequency.

Gonna second this recommendation. My original lights on my 09 were cracked, faded, and one was leaking. Got a set of TYC's on Rock Auto and they fit just like the OEM ones. Also aligned easy as well. Under $200 for the set shipped to my back door. Yes they are made in Taiwan, but heck what isn't anymore.

Are you running LED bulbs? The stock-style halogen bulb should burn off any condensation inside the lens within moments.

All good lol. I think the word “fogging” in the title might’ve done that
