I'm looking to get a new headlight set up for my Tacoma, I'm really not a huge fan of the huge white / chrome lights. I was looking at getting one of the blacked out housings from ebay (ones that look like the BHLM). Can't find much input on them, if they are god or not, etc.

I'd also like to replace both the foglight and headlight bulbs. I was looking at the Sylvania SilverStar Ultras, but could not find them for the fogs, only the headlights. I guess i'm just looking to see what most people do for bulb upgrades, what looks good and works good.

    thanks

Personally I would avoid aftermarket housings. I doubt the optics and quality will be as good as OEM. Alternatives: You can buy the TRD Pro housings that are blacked out from Toyota, but they are pricey or do the BHLM like many others on here have done.

What are you looking for in a bulb? More light power? Whiter color spectrum? I like Orsam Hyper 85/80w, which put out 2400 lumens. Massive improvement over stock, but a standalone wiring harness is recommended. You can run the 70/65w ones fine without the harness, though their light output will be less.
