Would both low beams go out at the same time? Sorry, so no i just assumed they were good because the high beams work.

The first step is pretty much just checking the bulbs

Never assume, you wouldn't believe the number of times I've had a vehicle come to the shop with both headlights out. Customer thought they had electrical problems and it's just bulbs.

typically bulbs are changed in pairs, so if one goes out, the other isnt far behind! well at least thats my theory...:D

Check the bulbs but also I have had good success adding some dielectric grease to the pins on bulb and some on the socket connectors. Vibrating and drying out will cause issues.

Just did that on my 4runner and BAM, light when back on and works perfect

It was the bulbs, ive had headlight problems last time i had it inspected i just had them fix it, and didnt know what they done. All in all it was the dim burnt out on both. I do have a problem finding a part now. It appears to be a brace behind the front inner portion of the wheel wells. It would give the front bottom part of the bed support. I just need to know the name of the part.
