    Hi all,

I recently upgraded my 2015 Tacoma headlights for a more modern look and decided to go with the ANZO-111556 headlights. Initially, I was pretty stoked about how they looked.

Not even a month after using them. I started to have an issue where the plastic started deteriorating inside the lens.

At first, I thought it might've been some moisture build-up, but it was a permanent haze on the inside of the lens. I ended up going through a warranty claim and ANZO said it could be an issue with the coating on the inside of the lens, they said they haven't seen it before.

I ended up purchasing a second set, but this time I thought there could be potentially an issue with heat in the connectors so I applied some dielectric grease on the pins in the connectors to help if that were the case. After approx 3 weeks the same issue happened again, in the same spot. I want to give the company the benefit of the doubt since I know many other consumers have purchased and used these lights with zero issues.

The issue tends to appear after a longer drive (> 3 hours), weather is mild 10 deg C / 50 F, no salt or chemicals on the roads where I live.

Does anyone have any ideas about what this could be?

Looks like a plastic material issue. I would also return both sets and not go back.

Unrelated, but why are you blocking airflow to your radiator?

When mine cracked after about two months after I polished them I replaced them with some stock-looking Anzos from Rockauto. The fitment was so bad I replaced them with OEMs. I ended up breaking one of the grill mounts, still usable, and at the top, the grill and headlights were nearly touching each other. The gaps were uneven. They worked, I just couldn't stand walking by the front of the truck and looking at how bad the fitment was.

Could be that they're using multiple manufacturers for their lenses. No clue really. There's no point in keeping them or sticking with the brand. I've had my alpharex lights for a year now with no issues. I have the sealed LED version. Mote expensive, but better light output.
