    There's a reason the bulbs aren't SAE/DOT Approved. And your comment about OEM standard: LEDs come in new vehicles that have LED HOUSINGS. A halogen housing is made to work specifically with a halogen bulb. The reflectors are designed for the point of light from the bulb to be reflected properly where the light is supposed to go. If the light source is an LED, the light is no longer from a single point. Post a picture or link to the ones you purchased and we might be able to better show you what we mean.
