Just got a 2019 Tacoma SR. I don’t have the automatic headlights option on my controls, which is disappointing. I noticed when I forget to turn the headlights off, the dash displays a warning message but there is no audible buzz/beep. It beeps if I leave my key in the ignition, but if no key and headlights are on - no buzzer. Is this correct? Is there a way to change it so it does buzz or give me an audible warning? I’ve always had a reminder. I did notice if I hit the lock button twice they go off anyway, which is nice. I wonder how long or if they’d go off by pressing only once though…

Also, trying to get used to S Mode. I searched but couldn’t find the MPH ranges for S1 through S4 (and I guess S 5 & S 6). Can someone provide? I mainly want to use S mode to go up (and then down) steep paved mountain roads that have several switchbacks. Which gear should I use to go up? Which would be best for engine braking going down? Ideally going up I’d like to maintain 55mph. Going down prob 35-45mph.

    Thanks in advance!

Anyone? Headed to the mountains tomorrow. Was hoping for a little clarity.

Ever driven a manual? Just use S mode like you would a manual - downshift until you have the engine response you want whether that is power up hill or engine braking downhill.
