I just picked up some Morimoto (full enclosure) LED headlights to replace my halogen projectors. I've seen a bunch of videos on how to replace. The part that worries me is where you have to separate the bumper. Can anyone help me with suggestions? Don't want to scratch anything or break a tab on my brand new truck. Thanks!

Take a look at Aing's recent video on YouTube. Good example of what NOT to do. I give the guy credit, he sucked it up and chalked it up to lessons learned.

Oh wow, that video gave me anxiety. He kinda skipped over how he screwed things up so I'm curious what he did wrong besides not leaving the protection on the new headlights.

Yea.. he also had issues on the fender as well. Reminds me how sometimes folks make it look so easy on teh interwebs. Also reminds me of the old carpenter saying of "measure twice, cut once".

Best advice has been given.. just take it slow, then slow down. :D

For the OEM LED's, it looks like you need the harnesses too, which are ~$90 shipped. I went Morimoto since you can get the Amber DRL and it's plug & play.

I put the part numbers on Ernie Boch Parts as he is generally the lowest and has my local guy match it with tax. I paid $1380.00 all in

I was really looking at those too. I don’t think you can really go wrong with either choice. The amber DRL look good too. Though with my black truck, I’ll stick with white so it does not look like an oriole lol. Also went with the meso v5 white DRL turn mirrors for that reason.
    Good luck with your instal!

Thanks! Honestly, I didn't research it enough and ended up with a truck without the LED's. If there were options, I would have gotten the factory upgrade, but there just isn't availability to be picky these days.

Morimoto ftw. Installation is a lot easier then it looks initially. Don’t be worried to pull a little harder in some areas.

I’m on my 3rd set of headlights.

Planning on installing this mod as soon as parts arrive. What trim removal tools are y'all using? Also, been looking at Meso V5 turns. Will these automatically sync (turn signals) with OEM LED headlights or will I need another harness of sorts?

Edit: this appears to have answered my questions about the V5's.
