I have 2006 DCLB 4x4, SR5. It is white and I recently put black fuel revolvers wheels on it. I also changed the headlights because the OEM ones were yellowed over and I have already done the renew kit on them and they quickly turned yellow again. I about the black housing Anzo OEM replacements which look really good until I drove through the car wash. The left side headlight continues to have water in it. I later found a notice in the box form the manufacturer that said these lights will sometimes develop moisture inside the lenses and that it is normal (I call BS on that!). Anyway the light output on the Anzo is worse than my OEM's that were yellowed over. So I am ready to drop some coin on new headlights.

What is the best headlight out there. I like the black background, but I want the lights to give me better than stock lighting. I don't want the blue or purple, I just want bright white light that is also dependable. How much do I need to spend, and what are considered the best headlights out there?

I am very capable in the garage so I could probably do the mod myself, but I am busy at work so I would rather buy off the shelf. What should I consider buying??

    Getting there...
Best would be a proper HID retrofit with 4300k bulbs. OEM parts would be the most reliable; also the most expensive. If you don't use OEM parts, it could cost anywhere from about $250 to easily $600+. Other's have used LED's to some success, and also require less labor.

I use VLEDS for my headlights, DRLs, and foglights and love them all. Crisp, super white (5000K) bright light. Easy install.

I did this last week. No questions asked from the dealer. 1 DTRL was cracked and they swapped out both headlights, brand spankin new! It's a new design as far as the DTRL. Clear lens with really bright yellow bulb

Amen love my stock smoked headlights I'd try and find a deal on some usually pricey for a mint set. Depo makes some good stuff to, For a decent price.
