I went 4300k phillips, this bulb is the brightest in lumbens and will actually shift to arojnd 4700-4900k over break on, this provides a very crisp white but no blue, 5500k is the highest id go!

4300k is the best color option for night vision and performance. Higher color temps start to degrade both.

I'm very happy with my Hylux kit w CNLight ball type bulbs! Coming from a BMW w factory HIDs, these are very impressive and surprisingly under $100.

Hello, i just installed a pair of your extreme hid kits in my 2016 today and they’re extremely bright and I’m super pleased with them! However I just Noticed that there is a yellow spot in each of the bulbs and even a yellow spot in my beam. I dont Know if this is normal since they are 500k but the yellow spot is very noticeable on the lenses of the headlight, on my hand if I place It in front of the projector, and even on the wall when parked several feet away. Again it’s no big deal just curious as if this is normal or not any help would be appreciated!

Glad to see other forum members were able to help!

With the 5000K option, you will still see a hint of yellow in the color. Is the yellow you notice in the light significant? If you can send us a picture we can further review it for you but in the meantime here is a picture of our 5000K HID bulbs:

HID bulbs are rated for 2500-3000 hours on average.

With HID bulbs, you do need to let them settle in which can take about 100 hours of usage. As for the picture you provided, the yellow you see is from the cut off since it's a close-up picture which is perfectly normal.

So the yellow residue that is physically inside of the bulb is normal? Because I’m pretty sure that’s what is causing the yellow light

The color band at the top is typically a function of the shield within the projector. The residue you are referring to is just the salts and gases within the air tight capsule.

If you're not happy with the kelvin of the bulb, then we can certainly work with you on getting a higher kelvin bulb. Just keep in mind that the higher you go in terms of kelvin, the less actual useable light output the bulb emits.
