Passenger side headlight has been fogging up lately. Not OEM. TYC brand. I dried out the light completely with a vacuum and I’ve tried both taking off the vent caps and running them in to no avail. They’re 2 little plastic caps that I’m assuming are vents? They don’t seem to do much.

Did you run a bead of silicon (use fish tank silicon) around the main seal area as the aftermarkets all leak at some point.
You may want to use a heat gun to ensure its really dry in there as many nocks to hold moisture.
You really have to take them out to seal and dry then still good luck. Only the OEM seem to last if your DRL don't burn them first (if change to led then resistor needed).
Those vents I've seen in several configurations and I think water running down the back or underhood side may get into them.
Make sure the headlight to hood seal is still there and no gap so water is forced in and over the headlight. Hood height can be set with the rubber bump stops and when you install the headlight it has some play.
    Hope it helps.

Thanks for the reply mud dog.

anyone use silica gel packs to displace moisture? Where do the packs go? Right inside the headlight housing or near the light boot?

What's the problem? If the lights are vented to atmosphere, they will fog up and clear up eventually.
