    Hey everyone,
Just got an 08 TRD Sport Double Cab a few months ago, upgrading from my 98 Off Road Double Cab. Came across this forum and have been reading like crazy lately. First post. I did a search on my question but couldn't find anything. I've noticed that if my headlights are left on, engine shut off, and I open the door to get out, I have no warning sound that my lights are still on. Is this normal? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Yeah it's normal. Your lights will go off when you turn the truck off, and when you turn the car back on the lights will come back on if you leave the headlight knob in the "on" position.

Ok, I thought that was weird, but never considered that. I also thumbed through my manual just now (duh) and saw it has that feature. Thanks!!!

Or, if you shut the truck off, open the door (shutting off the lights) and do actually need them to be on, if you toggle the light switch off then back on, the headlights will come back on and stay on.
