Headlights not turning off after remote starter install

This might sound very unusual, i recently bought a 2016 tacoma, everything was working right until they installed my remote starter, now my auto headlight off wont turn off after i put the truck in reservation mode, the dealer that installed the remote starter told me its normal to lose that function once a remote started was installed, until i turn off the headlight manually my headlights wont turn off at night, to give the specs on the remote starter they installed, its compustar 2 way LCD 2w901r-ss, im not quite sure if they have installed this properly, i really liked that function of the truck that the headlights would turn off once the key has been taken out. if you guys have any comments/suggestions on how to go about with this, thanks for the reply in advance...

 

First off, you need to change the title.
Secondly, maybe this is something you need to take up with the installer that you PAID to install the system. Hopefully someone can give you some guidance, but maybe your title should be more descriptive so the right person clicks on it.

 

Thanks for that daddy_o im really new at this, as u could see ive only been a member for a day, but thanks for the input, yeah i did talk to the installer that i paid and told me its normal after a remote starter install to lose that function in newer toyotas which, im doubting is true because i know of a guy that has a newer toyota with auto headlights off with a remote starter that doesnt have that problem..

 

I was just trying to save you from a lot of folks here. You will see as you stay around, some folks on here are nice, some not so much. Your new title is much better. Now, to me it seems as if the remote starter should have no bearing on the lights not auto turning off. I will try to do a little research and see what I can come up with, but hopefully someone with some experience can chime in.
