Im going to tap my fog light switch from positive of the parking lights. Ive done this on many vehicles...it basically means the parking lights need to be on before it will allow the fogs to come on. It also will turn off the fogs if I turn off the [headlight switch to off] parking lights.

In all my previous vehicles, as an added bonus, if I *DO* leave my lights on and remove the key, I got the "ding ding" alarm. I noticed last night, my 2011 does not alarm.

I am the 2nd owner...do you think someone "modded" it, or does my truck have some sort of auto off?

    Thanks!

There is no alarm; the headlights and parking lights are wired to automatically turn off when you open the drivers door after turning the key to "off".

I got used to the auto off. At work we have a Ranger and two regular cab Tacos. Well I mostly drive the 4x4 Taco but one day it went in for service so I drove the Ranger. Well of course I left the lights on because they shut off in the Tacos. Two hours later I hop in the Ranger.... It has an automatic drain the battery feature which is nice.
