Headlights

I put Sylvania Silver Star Ultra bulbs in my 2015 the other day. Love 'em. They put out more light than my stock bulbs and they're much whiter. $44 at Wallyworld.

 

Never saw that and never had an issue with them. In the limited I ran them in the fogs & lows, in my Pro I run them in highs & lows.

 

Good to know from TW members. I may upgrade to these bulbs soon with this newfound assurance.

 

The LED's are quite good. The fog lights with LEDs are ridiculous, they spread so well you can light up all the lanes of the interstate, ditches, etc

 

Is it legal to run those in the fog lights as well? I feel like that would be extremely bright

 

As far as I know, yes. There isnt a law that restricts the brightness of the bulb. The laws cover mostly the angle at which they point, can only be on with low beams, etc.

The only way to get a whiter light on halogen bulbs is drive the filliment harder, you can get some that have coatings on the glass that slightly change the hue of the light, usually these just inhibit light output and only have a minor effect on temperature change. Any halogen bulb with whiter color will have its life drastically reduced.
