Are you talking the front flaps on the bumper or the rear mudflaps behind the tire?

The mudflaps in the front wheel well, behind the wheel. I'm not sure what you mean by "front flaps on the bumper." It's going to depend on the wheels and tires you choose as well. From what I have read on here, it seems there will be slight rubbing at full lock and a lot of rubbing when offroading. You might be able to keep the mudflaps, but you will probably have to do some trimming, again it depends on tires and wheels and how much rubbing you will deem acceptable.

Somebody please correct me if I am wrong. I am also planning on putting on 285s when I install my 887s so this is just what I have read on here, not personal experience.

This helps me tremendously. Thanks for the help. I called up my local 4 wheel parts on a quote and he kept telling me that 265 was way too small and I needed 285's.

There are a lot of people on here who advocate sticking with 265s, even with the lift. In my opinion, they do not look as good as 285s but if you are dead set against trimming and need the travel for heavy offroad use, they are a good option (also better gas mileage).

If you are okay with doing some minor trimming, and aren't planning on hitting the trails very often then 285s will be fine, especially if you aren't buying mud terrains.

Put in my headstrong order today. I'm both anxious and nervous.

Those of you running this lift with 285's, how are you clearing your UCA's? I just put on some 285's and had to add 1" spacers to clear.... I don't want to run spacers and I am not sure how others are pulling this off.

Nope, they are way too long. To run them you would have to limit your up travel to prevent from collapsing the shocks all the way.

You don’t necessarily need them, but to maximize your travel and to utilize the available droop that the leaf packs have to offer they are a beneficial purchase.

Just keep in mind up travel may still need to be limited due to the collapse length of the shocks. Best thing to do is to cycle your suspension to determine whats needed.

I'm using 1.25 Spidertrax spacers to clear my UCA's. I didn't really want to use spacers either, at first, but they feel pretty solid and not a single nut has backed off. I really like the stock rims for some reason.
