this is a weird one. Today I noticed that the favorite contacts didn't show names anymore, just their numbers. Then I received a call, the head unit showed the call but it wouldn't answer it. So, when I call the person back, they can't hear me, but I can hear them. If this is a common issue with the factory head unit I'm out. I'll get an aftermarket that will work better and give me nicer tones for my tunes as well.

    Thoughts, suggestions, jabs?

Nobody huh. Well, what recommendations for an aftermarket head unit? I'd like to keep as much of the factory components as possible. Backup cam, USB port, steering wheel controls.

Mute on the HU would reset back to being off after a call. So if it was muted during the call you explained earlier, another call afterwards would be fine. What version firmware is your HU running?

Oh, that's what was meant by mute button. Sorry. It wasn't muted, just something goofy going on with it. Not sure which firmware it's running, or if there's an update. I don't have nav. But my cart at crutchfield is holding over $400 worth of stuff right now. Just too close to Christmas at the moment. Kinda want a new hu anyway.

Well if you're not stuck on wanting to keep your OEM unit, take the plunge dude! I try to help where I can with the OEM nav HU because I have a 2014 in my truck. It's spotty for support around these forums and in general.

Thers's a TSB on the Bluetooth and a software update. Go to settings, general and scroll down- if your running 2.2 it should be updated to 3.2

Cool, thanks guys. I'll take a look at the version today. And my crutchfield cart is at $500 now. The hu I had picked out said it didn't have an option for a backup cam. Getting further and further away. Lol
