I fell down the Old Truck Rabbit Hole. I have had two check engine lights on my 1997 3.4L 4x4 extended cab Tacoma. 1st, was when the brain died at 290-something K. Replacing the brain fixed everything but even Toyota wasn't able to figure it out. The Monday after Halloween I got a check engine light. The first reading pointed to MAF sensor. With the truck now having 319K I replaced it. (I clean the thing every other 3K oil change.) Next scan codes were o2. I replaced the upstream and downstream 02 sensors. For general sense I removed the throttle body; I sprayed and wiped it but, it was not gooed up. I replaced the Throttle Position sensor, and the Idel Air Control Valve... nothing much changed. The thing was missing on all six at various times until it warmed up and then it was idling at 1100 rpm. I replaced the fuel filter today and it starts without conflict. It will idle at 800. I know the ideal in the 7s. The thing that has me now and I don't know what I'm doing is the MAF --- when it was really messing up, it had a live data reading "MAF (g/s) 4.66" Now that it is idling and not missing, I'm getting "MAF (1 b min) 0.679" the o2 B1S1 had been 0.010 v, the o2 B1S2 0.010 v. Today o2 B1S1 0.0005 v, o2 B1S2 0.0005 v.

If you have any resources, as to what this might mean -- on the internet hopefully, please let me know. I suspect that it's not quite right yet.

    Thanks in advance.
