    Any tips? I keep driving in the snow and the snow keeps getting on the side of my truck. Someone posted the charcoal starter maybe I can wire that to the exterior panels to make them hot and prevent ice build up.

    I don't see why not. They use heated surfaces on aircraft to prevent icing.

    I think the slider mounted flame thrower (patent pending) is the obvious solution here though since it would be dual purpose with both boot and vehicle icing concerns.
