I'm interested in these, just waiting for the guy with the blind spot mirrors. Thinking I might get his mirrors to go with your kit.

I actually have the new glass in hand already. I'm currently waiting on the defrosting films and the shipping containers. We won't have to wait too much longer.

Alright! Finally back from vacation and had a few hours to put into this. Thanks to Jaimes for the awesome product. The instructions are pretty self-explanatory and quite detailed. Only issues I had were due to my own perfectionism and clumsiness, but those were minor issues. All in all it took about 3-4hrs of work and I LOVE the results.

Here are a few pics from the install (started pretty late and went into the night so some of them might not be amazing)

Removal of the front dash was tricky. Couple bolts here and here
    [IMG]
the rest comes down with a bit of force and removal of the hood release
    [IMG]
Door jamb boot is very tricky. Just need lots of patience here. No fault of Jaimes.
Very clean wiring. Make sure you keep the wires away from the window (zip tied along the already existing wiring harness)
The mirror in it's detached and removed form.
Clean finish once wired and mirrors back on and installed.

Switch illumination on my '15 at night. This is off (obviously)
    and the switch on.

The mirrors heat very well and very quick. Should have no issues getting rid of any frost, snow, mist... looking forward to using it in a few months as the weather starts cooling down.

Very happy with the product. All very high quality items. Would recommend this to anyone, even with limited electrical experience.

Thanks for the detailed write up, looks like everything went well! Those rubber boots for the door wiring can definitely be a little frustrating. It's a tight spot to work, the boots are curved and ribbed... None of which are ideal for running wires through lol. As you said some patience and persistence and you will get them through.

Anyway I'm sure you will be enjoying the heated mirrors as the weather starts cooling off

The instructions for both kit options just got a minor tweaking to include a bit more information on how to use the add a fuse as a few people have not used them before. The under the AC option also now includes a bit of information on the switch fitment directly in the instructions.

    Hey Guys,

Unfortunately I have some bad news on payment method for these kits. I received an email from PayPal this morning notifying me that they have detected payments being received in my account sent as gifts that they suspect are coming from customers. At this point it is just a warning that this activity has to stop or they will have no choice but to close my PayPal account.

I like being able to offer the kits at a lesser cost by running the transaction through as gift payment, but not at the risk of having my PayPal account closed. It would become very hard to continue to sell these kits if I could not accept PayPal at all.

Now I have a number of pending orders who I have already offered gift payment as an option. While I can no longer offer gift payment as an option what I can offer is this:

If payment is made by September 18th the transaction will run through as goods and services but I will cover the associated PayPal fees. Or a few of you have already made arrangements for a payment later for miscellaneous reasons and I will honor an extended date if it had been previously agreed to in PM.

I know there are a few of you guys on the fence about the kit. What I can also offer is if you place an order by September 11th I can also cover the PayPal fees for your purchase.

Any orders after that will be at:

    Left of Steering - $340
    Under AC - $360

Payment through PayPal goods and services.

Sorry guys, I’m not a big fan of making changes on the fly like this. That is why I’m offering to cover the fees for a period of time if you already have an order in or have been considering placing an order.

If you already have my email address for payment please do not send payment, rather I will get your email address and send you a PayPal invoice for your order.

    Jaimes

When you said you were doing this as a Paypal gift payment, I was worried you'd get flagged due to volume of repetitive similar/same payments. If they ding you for any fees, let me know if I need to cover any additional costs.

I appreciate the offer, however if that happens I will cover the fees. I just saw lots of other people who sell stuff on here offer the gift payment option and figured it wouldn't be a big deal. I think you nailed it though is a lot of the same denomination payments started rolling in and most people elected to send payment as gift so there was quite a few.

All part of the learning curve though lol. I think they will just leave it be provided it does not continue, I also use paypal for a lot of purchasing so I'm sure they wanted to just give me a gentle warning first.

Paypal gets a lot of flak, but they have come through for me. Years ago, I bought some 'OEM Xbox controller batteries' that turned out to be cheap knock offs. The original seller would not respond to my complaints at all. I lodged a complaint with paypal who took a look at my account and said "You've been a good, longstanding customer (since 2000  ) - we'll refund your money and eat the loss, and talk with the vendor about suspending their account." :D

I started this quest early last year. Just got side tracked with other things in life. I have the heated mirrors and the switch so I'm looking for the Wiring Harness With a Built in Relay that you're selling in the package. Would you be willing to sell it on its own without the mirrors and the switch. I would need it for the switch left of the steering wheel. Shipped in Canada

    Thanks

It can be done, I've had a few people buy just the harness alone. I'll send you a PM, the harness is built to work with the specific mirrors and switch that I offer. Just need to make sure you have either the exact same parts or ones that would at least be compatible.

Received all the parts and everything looks great! I do need some troubleshooting advice though. I got everything wired up and when I press the switch the light doesn't come on. When my lights are on the mirror symbol lights up but when I push the button nothing. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Sure I'd be happy to help, likely something very simple. I'll send you a PM as it may take a few messages back and forth to nail down the problem.

PS do you have either a 12v test light or a multimeter?

ARE cap, wade inchannel vent visors, weathertec floor mats, ranch hand grill guard, tuffy security boxes in bed, lockable tailgate handle. Still have stuff that needs to be installed and still have stuff ordered lol.
Paypal is beginning to get annoying and changing since they split from ebay.
might have to start looking at other means of paying for stuff online lol.

It's hard to say if some other payment processor will go big. It does seem that PayPal currently is dominating that market. There fees and conversion rates do leave something to be desired, some competition might be good.

Although I will say they are fast and easy to use.

Also 08WhiteTRD is up and running

Got mine all together. Toughest parts were fishing the wire through the rubber boot in the door and getting the two through the mirror. Not awful, though.

Interestingly, I have a "5 minute" left of wheel switch and mine works as a 15 minute switch. I'm glad that happened since I felt five would be a little short but liked that style much better.

I nicked the plastic around the switch a little. I could probably clean that up if I tried. My own fault there.

Put an AirOnBoard switch on the bottom for my future bed lights, but haven't gotten all the stuff to do that project yet.

Thanks for the order! I'll send you a PM in a minute with payment details.

Ah cool, you were actually my very first sale on here with one of my original prototype harnesses (collectors edition lol). Glad you got her wired up!
