for those on the fence about this...just do it!

got mine installed last night on the taco and Jaimes made this a painless process!

hardest part was dismantling the mirrors to run the wires into the housing, but the instructions were a great reference guide along the whole process....

looking forward to seeing the next project :spy:

yes, I have done the mods
Hey OP, apologies if this has been answered in the depths of 35 pages - does your kit include the dimming feature that Benson X's original mod did?

I'm sure when I move back to Colorado I'll be glad I have the heaters - for right now, in the city of angels, getting dimming side-view mirrors would be the bee's knees. And if it comes with heat, then I'll only have to open up these mirrors once and done.

No dimming feature on them. I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure the Benson X mod doesn't dim either, at least I don't recall reading that. That would be a nice feature though! If it is something that can be done I could always look into it.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
The dimmer you mentioned is just for the Light in the switch, so you can dim it using the rheostat dimmer, like all the other switches/gauges.

Right on... Should now be well equipped for winter! Next project is already en route

Ahh that is probably the reference to dimming that he may have seen. Although I have had times auto dimming side view mirrors would have been nice.

It looks like it's standard on the Sienna SE. Much better than a straight up mirror imo.

Hey fantastic write up! Sorry if this has been answered but I was reading through the instructions you posted and was wondering how exactly would this work if I don't have power mirrors. I was looking to upgrade my 2014 stock access cab manual mirrors to power and then I stumbled on this heated mirror option. My question is, do I have to purchase something more?

Kit installed and work perfectly; very easy to install as it took me only 4.5 to 5 hours to do everything. Very clean harness built as professional with protective lining; I cannot have done a better job if done by myself. Packaging was well done and order was ship very fast. I may add connectors in the doors harness before the mirrors. I recommend that kit to everybody who see cold weather.

Thanks :) The kit works independent from the power mirrors so it would be no problem to use the heated mirror kit with the manual mirrors or also if you upgraded to the powered mirrors down the road. The kit does not however upgrade the entire mirror housing (getting the kit would not convert you over to powered mirrors).
