Just got done installing this mod along side an audio upgrade and complete sound deadening treatment. I managed to only seriously injure myself twice, so a pretty solid effort.

    Random thoughts about the kit...

    - quality is great and loved the attention to detail on the connections
    - getting the wires through the door boot involved a lot of swearing
    - the pressure needed to reseat the mirror glass was unsettling
    - wish I had someone to hold the mirror during reassembly
    - left the relay unplugged at first with ACC on to check for ground w/ a meter for piece of mind
    - had to grind down two ledges on the switch - no big deal

    Okay PM inbound

Good to hear you are all set! All of these are good points. With the pressure to clip the new mirrors on I'm in 100% agreement that you start to wonder if something is wrong with the force required to clip them on. I decided to leave this tip out of the instructions but a little heat with a hair dryer and they will clip back in MUCH easier. Problem is if I post that as the suggested method you gotta know someone is going to take it too far and melt plastic lol. Basically I didn't want to be on the hook if someone got crazy on them with a heat gun.

Thank you for setting this up:) Sign me up! left 5min green US. I do have some questions: with your mirror the heat strip is already attached? I noticed some didn't order mirrors and wonder why? and do you include the instructions needed? thanks

Thanks for the order! The mirrors I supply do come with the heating elements built into them. Some people elect for no mirrors because they have already purchased aftermarket mirrors that have heating elements. There is also a nice option that just came out from @SMKYTXN where you can buy just the heating elements and install them onto your existing mirrors. Information on that is here http://www.trailtoys.net/ezview-mirrors.html

I'll put you up on the list now and send you a PM. If you want to take the mirrors off of the order then the kit cost is reduced by $110.

Ok. I need the mirrors then. Please also update the time to 15 instead of 5. Thanks
Are you working on any other mods? I like the fact that you keep the OEM look!

Okay you got it and just sent you a message. I'll make sure to update your order to a 15 minute timer. I'm always tinkering away with a few mods but not sure I'll be making other kits to sell on here. One cool one out there is a power sliding rear window that @BenWA used to sell. I'll be doing that in spring but found some factory switch options that are for power mirrors so it will all look stock once again. Once I have that all together I'll post to share what I found so other can go that route too if they want.

Like I said though don't really intend to sell it, just share some useful information to supplement the work he has already done.

I have received the kit and it looks great and worth the money. I have one question what do you recommend to attach the new mirror to the original base?

Glad you like it. If you look at the back of the new mirrors the top side has two plastic hooks and the bottom two plastic compression clips. Those mate up with a white plate within your mirror housing. It will be very clear when you get to swapping them out. In the instructions (bottom of first post) it shows how to clip the new mirrors on.

Just finished the install. I'm gonna echo a lot of what other people have said so far. This is a really top quality kit. Jaimes you have done an outstanding job in the work you have put into this. The wiring looks better than oem and the directions are very direct clear and easy. Thanks again. Luckily fall has been rather warm here in Virginia Beach so I haven't really needed this but it's coming. Thanks again.

Awesome, I appreciate it and really am glad that you all like the kit. You are lucky on the tame fall so far. At this point my truck is frosted up nearly every morning... although still not too bad throughout the day but I'm sure that will change in the next couple of weeks too.

Awesome thanks for the order! Your timing is exceptional as I'm down to 2 sets of mirrors for Canadian orders but more arriving in a couple of weeks. I'll add you to the list and send you a message with info on how to finish your order off.
