I think your pictures came out great honestly. I'm still good with the amber switch.

They appear good but I can tell the shades are a bit off. In the top photo the amber is fairly accurate but the green is a lighter shade and the red is a true red whereas the photo has it looking more pink.

That being said a few pair of eyes all agreed with the description provided.

Check the camera settings - a lot have settings for color correction, white balance, etc that may be throwing off your pics. Try turning them all off, and then play with the color and contrast when looking at the pics.

The amber will still look good to me, because the mirror switch doesn't light up anyway. This way, when I have the heated mirrors on, I'll know it. :) Besides, mine are a green in the truck and this will be different...on purpose. Thanks for the update.

You can also start a new business of Toyota Christmas Tree lights. Those would look good on a tree.

May have to get the wifey involved for that, she has a fancy camera with way more settings then I would care to learn but it's worth a shot. I ended up posting photos taken from an iphone which for whatever reason came out the best but to be fair I didn't mess with any camera settings.

Absolutely just let me know... it is a great mod to have if you are in a cold winter climate!

Hmm Toyota Christmas tree lights I like it lol. On the amber I think the only people it may be an issue with are the ones who would like it to light with the headlights on. It's not obnoxiously different but it is a lighter shade.

As I said I'll need to try lighting them up in the middle of the day in the sunlight to make sure they are actually visible otherwise they wouldn't be too useful as an indicator light. Unfortunately here it is already dark by the time I'm off work so I'll have to save that check for this weekend.

I think that is pretty much the last detail to wrap up on these and then should be set to get a larger order placed to cover off the options you guys want. Of course once I have the last few details ironed out I'll present them and you guys can make any adjustments to your order if you would like before I get the switch order placed.

Love this. However i have a need for tow mirrors and was looking at the Tyger heated/signal/power mirrors. Would the mirror adjust switches connect fine? or in theory would you expect them to? AND would you sell everything other than the mirrors separately?

    Thank you!

I've never heard of the Tyger tow mirrors but I assume they are similar to the ProEFX mirrors? If the Tyger mirrors would work with your stock mirror adjustment switch then it will also work with the upgraded mirror adjustment switch. I create a small harness to transfer all of the electrical signals from the new switch into your truck so that electrically it is receiving the exact same signals for every adjustment direction.

Without mirrors that would be $315 shipped (tracked and insured). I guess one thing to consider is my harness is designed to reach the stock mirror location. I'm not sure if the Tyger mirrors come with any wires already attached to the heating elements but if not then I'd probably want to make your harness a little longer since the mirrors would be spaced further out.

In the case of people who have bought the ProEFX mirrors and used my kit those mirrors come with wires long enough to reach into the cab so what people have done is just cut any excess length off of my harness and then attached the wires from the ProEFX mirrors to my harness lead wires. Hope that makes sense.

these are the mirrors ^^ I think they will be fine, but like you say, it may be worth making it longer just in case. I have a US address you can send it to to make things more cost effective on my end. Only question i have, that you may not be able to answer, is will the signals work? My mirrors don't currently have them, so I assume i would need to splice in and run a separate wire for that?

They look like good mirrors. I'm from BC so no problems to send direct to your Canadian address. I was actually looking at your avatar and thinking that looks a lot like Sun Peaks (nearby ski hill) but then again a lot of ski hills look similar at the base of the mountain lol.

If you don't already have turn signals its unlikely they are pre-wired for it... although some have lucked out and it was. If not I believe people add it on by tapping into the rear turn lights... although you would want to do a quick check on that since I've not done it myself. But it is for sure possible to easily wire it so you have turn signals and I'm sure it's probably been covered in this forum how to do it. If I'm not mistaken the instructions for the ProEFX mirrors cover in detail where to tap in order to add in the turn signal feature.

    Update

Today I checked each colour option in direct sunlight in the truck. Unfortunately none of the colour options really pop out visibly in the sunlight. The amber and red can be seen VERY faintly. If you cup your hands around the switch then any of the colour options can be seen. Wouldn't be an issue if in winter you are starting your truck for work before the sun has come up.

I think since we are using a switch for a purpose it was not originally designed for the LEDs in the switch just aren't high enough wattage to overcome daylight. They are surface mount LEDs so it is possible to solder on a higher wattage LED down the road if having it display in daylight is critical.

That being said having it wired to light while heating does offer some benefits. It will act as an indicator light so it will give you a heads up if the mirrors are heating when you don't want them too, or not heating when you do want them to. Although the entire kit is assembled of only high quality parts, if either the relay or the switch itself was to fail down the road this indicator light will give you early detection of a failure.

I've also just sent everyone on the list and also some interested parties asking to review all the information and to get back to me confirming their order before I place my order for switches tomorrow evening.

I'll be in for a kit with the new Amber switch after Christmas. Closing a deal and plan to use allot of it for the truck.

Thanks again for your time investigating new solutions for us.

I'm just about to head out for some sledding with my daughter but I'll reply to the PMs when I get back. Thanks for the quick responses!

@Palehorse1 I can order an extra switch and put it off to the side for you. Realistically this order of switches might not be in my hands for 2 1/2 to 3 weeks given they come from overseas and the current holidays.

Happens when it happens, I'll want a complete new kit so when you are ready we can sort out the specs and you can just bill me. I'm going to give the kit I already have to a friend.

Thank you for making this kit. I am quite interested in purchasing one. Two questions:
    1) On the new switch does the upper portion ("L/R" & "fold?") of the switch also light up or only the lower part? (interested in the amber one by the way)
    2) For Canadian customers do you charge in US or Canadian dolars?
