No problem. Basically there are 3 different kits available that all accomplish the same thing... Heated Mirrors!

There is a kit type that puts the switch in one of the blanks that are found to the left of the steering wheel. That kit is $340.

There is a kit that puts the switch in one of the blanks under the AC controls and that kit is $360. Although I'm not sure if those blanks were present on the 2006 Tacoma.

And the newest kit was designed for if you have no more switch blanks available for a new switch. It replaces your mirror adjustment switch with one that has an additional button on it to prompt the heated mirrors. That kit varies in cost depending on what options you want but the price is broken down on the first post.

Hope that helps, but if you have any other questions just let me know! The first post has a lot of good information on it with all the possibilities.

For all of you guys who have been waiting on the new kit option, the switches were finally shipped yesterday! I should be receiving them towards the end of next week.

Also thanks for the patience... I know it probably took a bit longer then everyone was expecting but these will be worth the wait!

I just got my mirrors in last night, thanks to Jaimes's shockingly clear directions! I'm super happy with the finished product so far, and Jaimes has been a stand-up guy to deal with. I highly recommend attacking this install, or at least a small part of it, with a friend, because holding the mirror assemblies up to the truck while you feed the wires through them would be very difficult otherwise. The kit he's come up with is very well thought-out and I cant recommend it highly enough! Happy modding, guys!

Check out the first page, starting at the third picture posted. A little teaser though...

Heated mirrors for the guys who have no switch blanks left. Activation is with the small button top left on the switch.

Glad you like it and was cool to meet up with you while you were passing through. That's a good point on the mirror assemblies. It's the one area of the install that a second set of hands is helpful.

I'm just about to hit the road so can't go into great detail right now, but it is pretty easily possible to retrofit this with your kit since you have an under the AC type kit

I retrofitted mine and it probably took me all of 20 minutes. I can't be happier with it.

I just picked up my Tacoma 9 days ago. It just turned cold yesterday. And since I live in a condo building that has a humid heated underground parking garage, my parking spot is between two concrete pillars and there is a fence on the passengers side, clear mirrors are essential for backing into my spot. As you can see from the picture, there is not a lot of room on either side of the vehicle.

    index2.jpg

So, I would like to buy one of these kits.

    1) Switch position: left of steering
    2) How many Minutes: 15
    3) Colour: Green
    4) Canada

I'm sure this info is in the tread somewhere but I missed it. How do I pay you and when can it be shipped?

Will do... Installing a new mirror with temp this morning but I'll send you a message later today.

Glad you like it! I think I'll be switching over to this new option in spring... Right now running a left of steering kit but will be nice to free up that switch position.

Thanks for the order! Payment has been received and it will ship out tomorrow morning

Ok, I'm in for Left of Wheel / 5 Minutes / Green / Canada

Up2NoGood, I'll need to line up shipping to Calgary to match my days off from some field operations I'm doing, think we can make that work?

Thanks for the order! Yeah I think we can make that work. I've sent a number of orders to Calgary and Edmonton and usually takes 3-4 days. If you have a few days off in a row then it shouldn't be an issue to have it deliver while you are off.

I'll just need to know your days off in order to figure out when it would need to ship

Perfect! I should be back to civilization in 10-14 days if there are no hiccups. I'll have 7-10 days off then. If it works for you, I'll give you a heads up a few days before I head back to Calgary and the timing should work!

Sure thing... If you will be off 7-10 days then no problem at all making sure it delivers while you are around. I send them out expedited post so the time in transit is very consistent.
