So good to hear from you. I'm sure this will answer many a question as to what the heck happened to you.
Sure sounds like you have your hands full. Best wishes and good luck with your ventures, hope all goes well and you get to where you hope to be in life. It sure as hell aint easy, with what you are doing and life in general.

It will be good when you get to return to us all at TW. You certainly are one of the family. Such invaluable help, guidance, and advice.
I have been putting together my own kit for the heated mirrors using all of your tips and pointers. LOL I started two years ago and I'm still not there. Maybe I'll be a customer when you return.

Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and certainly a happy happy new year.

Hey sick thank you! Sorry for the slow reply. My next question is I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to wiring but my buddy is a pro. Is there anything that needs to be done to the switch in order to make it work proper? Or is it plug and play if I already have a harness pieced together for heated mirrors?

The switch needs to be converted to 'momentary' from on/off. Somewhere on here there are instruction on how to do that.

Is there an option to not only have heated mirrors, but also upgrade the TRD OR plain black side mirror housings to the version that's color-keyed with built-in turn signal blinkers? I realize that'd take extra wiring for power the turn signals to each the driver and passenger sides, but there must be a way or harness to do while also wiring for the heated mirrors. Thanks for all ya do and hope you can get back building some harnesses. Good luck on the sale of your business and future endeavors.

I’m hoping one of you guys can help me out. I bought a kit a while back he sold to another member but it didn’t have any instructions or diagrams. It’s a 4Runner setup so it also has the puddle lights. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'd be interested to know this as well. I just bought the 2010 4-Runner mirrors that are heated, blinkers and puddle lights all built in. They come with everything wires out of the housing into a multi-pin connector. So now I need to buy everything else to wire it. I'm assuming a relay for both doors, wiring for heat to an add-a-fuse, wiring for blinkers, wiring for puddle light to the dome light.

Anyone offering an alternative? Waiting til next winter isn't the problem, but working on wiring up the new mirrors in the cold isn't fun. I'd rather work on the truck in the spring/summer/fall when it's not freezing.

Sf.Larry, Skawdee on the first page of this thread he has the instructions for the install. He used a timed module that set the timing for how long the mirrors would stay heated. Also the switch was just a momentary one either using a blank switch under the radio or using a Camry mirror switch with the folding mirror option, taking a spring out of it to make it a momentary one, I used this one for my TRD. Now you don’t want just to put a switch in to just turn them off and on without the timer as you will eventually forget to turn them off and they will burn out the elements a lot faster.
Blinkers, 2014-15 has the wiring to connect to the vehicle to the mirror lights, all others you are going to have to find a wiring diagram and tap into the correct wires. If you look at the mirrors at least on the 2010-15 you will notice they are not all one piece, the outer shell pries off and you will find they are the same as the sport trucks with the mirror flashers. Flasher lights are the same as the ones that came in 2010 to 2013 RAV ‘s and the junk yards are full or I got mine off evilbay out of China for way cheaper then Toyota wanted for them. The outer shell is available in a variety of colours to match your truck from Toyota.
Biggest thing is taking the mirror apart to run the wires through it.

    thanks for all the clarification,
I am Trying to understand the wiring here, is the relay for the Left-to-Steering-wheel switch setup triggered to activate the ground signal ?

I am not confortable having a permanent +12V running through the door to the mirror to be honest, any chance of switching through the Positive +12V

Do you mind sharing the switch connector connector pinout for the left side switch please ?

am I getting it right here :

What is the going price for the heated mirrors and is the individual still manufacturing them.

Can anyone please tell me if the wiring setup in the above picture is correct.

OP is no longer making the harness and setup But you can source most of the stuff. Many pick up the aftermarket t4r mirrors and then swap in their stock internals. (if you want puddle and blinkers) or you can just swap in the mirror build out a harness/switch and timer.

I have mine mostly ready I need to wire up a timer but haven't decided which one. The one originally used looks to have gone out of business.

Seems like @Benson X has provided all the required details here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/heated-mirrors-kit-interest-update-thread-pic-heavy.377840/

You may also want to have a look at this thread regarding adding circuits to the OEM fuse box in the engine compartment if you'd like to wire your circuit there (OEM-like)

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...er-wiring-without-factory-tow-package.412366/
    * in this regard, I managed to get the holder-terminal for the mini fuse that is not available, I might help with it.

There are other alternatives for the Switch button, relay and the Mirrors too:

Suggesting a Mirror, I tried the Suma Performance mirrors on my FJ, their product was worth the money:

The Suma is glass-only though right? Didn't see that it comes w/ internals/switch/relay, etc.

No, that is not what I meant, it's only mirros (with heated, blinker, tinted options) no internals.

The relay, switch connectors are to be arranged depending on the setup you aim for (heating time, position of switch in dashboard, standalone switch or running with rear glass defogger...)
