I've been in a truck where you could have just a heated back rest and wonder if there was a place that you could splice in a switch and make the Tacoma heated seats back only?

It would be easier to just buy a 12v pad and drape it over the seat.

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
Are you talking about a truck that already has heated swats or adding it?

Modifying, you'd need to identify the leads connected to the backrest and modify wiring.

It would be easier with the add-on seat heaters since those are wired independently of bottom and backrest. It's all doable once you trace your wires.

Yes, wondering about the wiring on stock heated seats.

Is the seat back even heated? I have heated seats but never use them. But I was pretty sure that only the seat cushions are heated, and that's all I see on the pdf that @ktbell444 posted.

EDIT: Nevermind me. Caribe's diagram proves me wrong. But like I said... I never use the seat heaters :anonymous:

If you look closely, the heat sensor is part of the seat pad, not the back pad.
